3. ASK TINA [TOWARDS INCLUSIVE NETWORK ON ABILITIES, ACCESSBILITY AND ACCOMMODATIONS] aims to provide A-Z information on 21 + types of disabilities listed in RPWD ACT 2016. The information can be easily accessed by clicking on the links on the right of this page [on Desktop] or below this section [on Mobile] for each type of disability.

The concept of Accessibility and Accommodation need to be planned on the individual needs based on equity and inclusion in schools and workplace. There are different needs with diverse disabilities and this needs simple tailor made support and ready-made solutions which may or may not fit all students with special needs. Developing Accessibility/Accommodation in public buildings and developing the same in Schools and Colleges are entirely different. In the former a uniform provisions may or may not meet the individual needs of each person with a disability as it is based on the norms.

But in schools and colleges unless the accessibility and accommodations are designed to meet the individual needs it is difficult for the user to get the benefits from the common facilities. ASK TINA helps to understand on how with minor changes the Schools /Colleges can meet the diverse special needs leading to Physical, Social And Functional Inclusion of Students with Special Needs. Schools and colleges will get handholding support from Sahayog portal to develop their schools fully Inclusive”.
